If you are making a will you could consider leaving a legacy for the work of Novi Most. Whether small or large, a gift to Novi Most in your will will really help us continue to make a life-changing difference to many young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Giving them hope and confidence for their futures is a legacy of lasting value which will go way beyond its monetary value.
The most common kinds of legacy are:
• A pecuniary legacy, which is a gift of a specific sum of money.
• A specific legacy which is a gift of a particular named item.
• A residuary legacy which is a fraction or all of the remaining part of your estate once your family and friends have been provided for.
If you want to do this we advise you to seek the advice of a solicitor. You can visit charitychoice.co.uk/legacies for help in finding a solicitor and starting the process. You will need to know Novi Most’s registered charity number – 1043501 – and our address – Novi Most International, Bushell House, 118-120 Broad Street, Chesham, HP5 3ED.
If you have already made a will, and want to leave a legacy to Novi Most International you can make an addition or change it without re-writing your current will, which is called a codicil. Please note, however, that a codicil is not legally binding on its own and has to be part of your main will. In some instances, there are tax benefits to be had from leaving a legacy. We advise you to seek the advice of a solicitor.
