Since the beginning of our work in Čapljina, one of the key activities we’ve offered young people has been English lessons. These range from structured courses — with the opportunity to take an exam and earn a Cambridge University certificate — to more relaxed conversation sessions focused on building confidence and communication skills. Sometimes we work one-to-one, other times in small groups, depending on each student’s needs.
Danijel first came to us for help with his English homework. Although English wasn’t his favourite subject at school, he’s come to enjoy learning in a fun, encouraging environment where every small step of progress is celebrated. The smile on his face when he earns a higher grade than expected is priceless — a reflection of his effort and growth.
But for Danijel, Novi Most has become much more than a place to study English. It’s a place where he feels seen and heard, where he can bring friends and make new ones — people he might never have met otherwise. It’s a place where he continues to learn, grow, and discover more than he ever expected when he first walked through the door for an English lesson.
