Mostar

The city of Mostar in Herzegovina is where our work began 30 years ago. The iconic old bridge (‘Stari Most’ in local language), which was destroyed in the war in 1993 gave inspiration for the name of our organisation….Novi Most, meaning new bridge.

So for the last 30 years Novi Most has been making ‘new bridges’ in Mostar; Bridges between divided ethnic groups, bridges between cultures, bridges between people and God.

Through various activities including sports, music, crafts, education, camps etc Novi Most has connected with thousands of young people in Mostar over the years. And that work continues to this day.

We currently run weekly activities in our youth centre which range from cooking, creativity and games to Royal Rangers, a Christian programme similar to Scouts, where young people can develop practical skills, explore nature, meet new people and engage in discussion about a variety of topics.

Novi Most also works closely with the local Evangelical Churches in the city, helping with their youth and children ministries
